AMO PRIZE

Housing and Workplaces, the heart of the Prize

Created in 1984, the AMO’s Prize “Workplaces, Architecture and Environment”, has an unpublished objective:

Reward a couple Project owner and Architecte who knew how to concretize their dialogue by a remarkable realization,

Exceed the notions of esthetics or spatial or functional qualities of buildings or contextual virtues to become attached to the comfort of workstations,

Show by its prize list that the architectural quality is connected neither to the scale nor to the nature of the programs.

In 2009, having committed a reflection on the housing and the sustainable development, AMO launches the first edition of the Prize “Housing, Architecture and Environment” which also becomes attached to the use values – evolution of the lifestyles and daily quality of life – and in the environmental quality.

The Prize illustrates the values carried by AMO : commitment in the service of the society, the respect for the use and for the users, the respect between the speakers themselves.

It receives the support of the Ministry of Culture and Communication. It knew how to stand out as an inescapable meeting and it prize list shows that he allowed the emergence of young talents.

The Jury, consisted mainly of architects and clients, is chaired by a personality of the “civil society”.
